Optimus will be a forum to explore new ideas to transform the next generation of integrated infrastructure implementation underpinned by sustainability, ethical work practices and diversity.

Past attempts to integrate supply chains produced such approaches as lean construction. Undeniably, lean construction has remained an outstanding approach for many of you and yet with an array of methodologies, tools and tactics we still have not seen widespread adoption in Australia. Why? Lean education and communication has been narrow in outlook. We believe targeted programs will make lean more accessible and will challenge the notion that lean is only about productivity improvements. We need to educate clients and asset owners; those with key decision making responsibilities of the benefits of new ways of working. 

Our future thinking approach is to expand our focus to other areas and also include a broader range of industry players, thus being more impactful.

We are a national organisation extending to our members and partners across the country as well as leveraging our international connections. Members shall have privileged access to the best and brightest in our industry, government and academia both nationally and internationally as we showcase practical ways to transform work and the work of your suppliers.

Optimus shall be a node to promulgate a meeting of the minds: exceptional industry expertise, outstanding academic research and thought leaders - all without leaving your desk! All Members are a part of this unique Centre. We will provide equitable access to high quality resources which suggest you can implement ‘lean’ and also promote an ethical, sustainable and diverse workforce. Access to educational materials are either at discounted rates or free by virtue of your membership.
